Dress Code

We at Twisted Element encourage our patrons to fully express themselves.
For this reason we do not have a dress code, however; it is recommended that patrons dress with comfort and safety in mind.
For health and safety reasons, footwear must be worn at all times.

Coat Check

Due to safety reasons of both your belongings and all patrons of our venue,
coat check is mandatory for all larger coats/items.

For the low price of $4 per item, we will hang onto your precious items in coat check for up to four weeks. After four weeks, we donate all unclaimed items to local charities/shelters.

Our coat check uses Chexology, a tag-less coat check system that uses your phone number to retrieve your belongings at the end of your visit.

For safety reasons, should your coat or bag be left unattended in our venue, our staff will bring it to coat check. You may be required to pay the $4 charge to retrieve your items.

Removal and re-checking of items will also require the payment of $4 again.

Required ID

Following requirements from AGLC, we require that all patrons present at least one form of valid government issued photo identification during minors prohibited hours of operation, or for the service for alcoholic beverages.

Valid primary identification must:

  • have a photo;
  • have a name;
  • be government issued;
  • include date of birth;
  • not be expired;
  • have a unique identifier number; and.
  • be an original (not a copy or photo of the original).

A secondary piece of ID may be requested for confirmation of your identity.
Secondary identification is not required to be government issued.


Public Transit

Twisted Element is conveniently located three blocks from the 8th street and 7th street C-Train stations, and there are plenty of other Calgary Transit options located nearby.


There are typically taxis waiting outside of our main entrance, however; our staff would be happy to call a taxi for you if there are none available at the front doors.


Twisted Element does not have a designated parking lot.

There are limited street parking options along 11th avenue or 9th street:

There are also plenty of paid parking options provided by Indigo on both the east and west side of the building.

We’ll try our very best to re-unite you with any lost items.

To better serve you, please fill out all the form fields, and be as detailed as possible in the description of your lost item(s).


Twisted Element aims to eventually be a fully accessible venue.
Unfortunately, we are currently located in a heritage building that does not have the structure or space that allows for wheelchair ramps or other accessibility accommodations.

First Aid

Should you or your party require first aid during your visit, our team is first aid certified and naloxone trained. Please find the nearest staff member for assistance.

Payment options

We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Interac and Gift Cards.
We do not accept American Express.

Should you require cash upon your visit there are three cash machines conveniently located throughout our venue.

Guest list & Reservations

Sorry, we do not offer guest lists.

Some shows or events may have an advanced ticket purchase option that includes

Both of our all-gender washrooms are located downstairs.
We have a strict zero harassment policy in place.
Should you or your party encounter any issues of harassment,
please inform our staff so that we can deal with the offending party immediately.
Should you notice that the washrooms may be in need of some service or cleaning,
please let one of our staff members know.
